Walkthrough from Tom Britt covering Accounts, Contacts, Agencies, and how to navigate the Accounts details.

First Things First

Before entering a new Account, its recommended that you “Search” MediaOS first to make sure the Company is not already in MediaOS. For new franchise territories, this might not be applicable, but always a good idea to reduce duplicates.

Fair Game

Any Account already in MediaOS that has not had any “meaningful” contact from someone else at Towne Post in the last 90 days is considered “Fair Game” and can be claimed by you to pursue. By meaningful, the following activities will reset the 90-day “shot clock”:

  1. Personal email to Contact at an Account
  2. Phone call logged under the Account
  3. Proposal written up for Account, whether approved or not
  4. Calendar events, meetings on your Google calendar

The following activities are NOT considered meaningful and will NOT reset the 90-day Fair Game clock:

  1. Mass emails sent to prospects and/or clients
  2. Follow-ups logged for future events
  3. Future meetings on your calendar
  4. Notes

Entering New Accounts

Once you know the Account is not in MediaOS, enter it by:

  1. Click the “+New” button in MediaOS and select “General > Account”
  2. Select “Lead/Account” (see “Agency” below).
  3. Input as much information as possible, be sure to include Account Business Name, “Contact” person(s), and if you have it “Address”.

<aside> 💡 Make sure ALL your information is correct and spelling is accurate. Nothing is more embarrassing that sending an invoice to an Account and having their name or business name spelled incorrectly.

Entering an Agency

Agencies are marketing companies that represent or work on behalf of an Account. Adding their record to an Account gives you the ability to send invoice copies, artwork approvals, or even billing statements to them. However, AGENCIES DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY TO APPROVE CONTRACTS OR PAY INVOICES.
