Towne Post has partnered with CitySpark.com to automatically search out and pull local events from nearby sources and aggregate them into one searchable, sortable calendar. Here are some important points to know about each calendar:

  1. Each franchisee has their own calendar for their territories.
  2. Each franchisee has admin access to the cityspark.com platform (click here) to submit events, modify events, select “editors picks”, and add “calendar sponsors” or “display ads”. (Any event, sponsorship, or ad is NOT charged if you submit yourself)
  3. Every magazine landing page has a “widget” with “featured” events scrolling across the top, “calendar sponsors”, and “editors picks” below.
  4. All transactions occur through the cityspark.com portal. If you sell one of these features, input it through mediaos.com and submit the order yourself through the cityspark.com portal.

Advertising Prices to Public

Display Ads: $2.00/day

These are 300 x 250 pixels in size and can be purchased through the city spark portal direct. They appear throughout the event cards and at the top of the category page sidebars.

Calendar Sponsor: $5.00/day

300 x 90 pixel ads that run at the top of all widgets and pages of any particular portal. There can multiple digital sponsors that will rotate through this position.

How to “Feature” an event

Step 1: “Add Your Event” from the appropriate calendar landing page. For example, if you are featuring an event for Carmel, you would go to the “Carmel Calendar” page and click the “Add Your Event” button. Promotions are specific to the calendars they are submitted to. If the event is already posted, skip this step and go to Step 2.

Step 2: From the event detail page, click the “promote” icon at the top of the listing. You may also access the “promotion” button from the admin side of cityspark.com.

Choose between “Featured” and “Premium” - the biggest difference being Premium includes a 300 x 250 ad as well as the site promotion. Note: You do NOT need to select any other promotion options on this page!

Step 3: If you wish to extend the promotion to other neighboring calendars, expand “2: Select Additional Calendars” to checkmark others.

Step 4: Click the “Review Your Order” button at the bottom of the page. Select the “date range” you wish to promote the event, confirm the price is $0.00, and click “Place Order” button.
