As a general rule, Towne Post does not recommend discounting but rather bundling additional digital or editorial exposure.
<aside> đź’ˇ For example, instead of offering a 10% discount on a 6-month agreement, include a free digital advertisement on TownePost.com that will give your customer more exposure for the same price. For longer-term contracts, include a one-page Business Spotlight.

Keeping your ad rates flat (meaning we offer the same price for an ad no matter how often they advertise) maintains your “Rate Integrity” and removes the haggling from the ad close. It also tells the customer that your magazine is worth what you are asking, and that everyone else is paying this same rate.
Sending a mass email to contacts in MediaOS with a special discount or deal is strictly prohibited. Any email going out through MediaOS, HubSpot, Mailchimp, or any other CRM that uses any perceived discount or promotion needs to be approved by Towne Post prior to sending.

When you mass email discounts to leads or clients, you are setting yourself up for failure:
Use your best efforts to hold your rate integrity - your clients will have much more respect for you in the long run and you’ll bill at a higher rate. If you are selling in person with someone, into your magazine only, and you feel it necessary to discount to close the deal, that is your decision to make.
